Tasks to Do Before Starting Your Home Business๏ฟผ๏ฟผ๏ฟผ๏ฟผTasks to Start a Home Business
Start your home business . Unique business ideas

Before you can start aย home business, you have to know what products or services you want to offer. Toย decide what business will be best for you, consider these questions:โ€‹

  • What do you have to offer?
  • What makes you an expert?ย
  • Do you have all of the education and skills youโ€™ll need to compete successfully in the marketplace or will you need to get training?
  • Does the product or service youโ€™re thinking about meet a need?
  • Is this a seasonal product or service, or can you market it all year long?ย
  • Is it a fad or something that will last over time?
  • How sensitive is marketing this product or service to general economic conditions? When the economy is weak, how do you think your business will be affected?
  • Do you have a passion for or enjoy this business idea? While money is, good, itโ€™s not enough to propel you to success. You need to be enthusiastic about your offer as well.

The saying, โ€œDo what you love, love what you doโ€ should not be taken lightly. Your business is going to be your livelihood, so it should be something you believe in and/or enjoy. One advantage of that is that you canย turn a hobby into a business. If you choose an idea youโ€™re not excited about, it will be difficult to get motivated at times.

Step 2: Know Your Market and Your Competition

Target Market Definition

While having a great product or service is require, without buyers, you still donโ€™t have a business. Knowing your market, what it wants and needs, and what inspires it to buy, are crucial to your success. This means discovering yourย target marketย and determining yourย unique selling proposition, the thing about your product or service that sets apart from others that are similar.ย Here are a few things to consider:

Who Is Going to Buy Your Product or Service?

  • What characteristics or traits does your โ€œtypicalโ€ customer or client have?ย โ€œEveryone,โ€ is the wrong answer. What type of person needs what you have to offer?Middle-income moms? Baby boomer men?
  • Will you market to businesses, to consumers, or to both?

What Is Special About What You Offer?

  • Is the need for your product or service not currently being met or are there other businesses offering it? If there are others, how many others?
  • What is about your product or service that is different from the competition? Are you faster, cheaper, more service oriented, etc.?
  • How does your product or service meet the need of your target market? What benefits do they get by using it.ย
  • What is yourย value proposition? What is your competitive advantage?

Use all this information to craft aย marketing plan, outlining how youโ€™re going to let your target market know about your business.

Step 3: Make Sure You Can Do the Tasks That Need to Be Done

multitasking in business

There is a lot that goes into starting a home business. Along with the tasks, is the ability to deal with hassles and frustration, fatigue, and slow results. If you canโ€™t do the tasks, or stay the course when things get hard, then a home business may not be for you. To make sure you have the stamina to succeed, answer this question honestly:ย Can you handle the day-to-day general tasks that starting a small business requires, like:

  • supplying product/service
  • distribution of product
  • invoicing/billing
  • setting appointments
  • ordering supplies
  • bookkeeping
  • marketing
  • filing
  • answering the phone
  • checking and replying to e-mail
  • manage energy levels
  • deal with disappointment
  • manage overwhelm

Some of these tasks you canย delegate to a virtual assistant, but many home business owners are solo-preneurs, starting on a shoestring budget and having to wear all business hats. If you plan to start on your own, make sure you have the stamina to carry you through until you can hire help. It helps to learn how to prioritize andย manage time.ย

Step 4: Make a List of What Needs to Be Done to Start

Home Office

Itโ€™s much easier to complete any task or project if you have all your supplies and a place to work. Here are some things you need to consider putting in place before you launch your business:

  • Home office:ย In order to work without distraction, a separate space with a door is recommended. Also, if you plan to take the home office deduction, this space will need to be used regularly and exclusively to run your business.
  • Converting space: If your home office will be in a room, garage or attic that requires building or altering the space, how and when will that be done.
  • Space for inventory, supplies, records and/or equipment. Consider if climate control is needed.ย
  • Power needs such as extra outlets, power strips and more.ย
  • Second phone line: While many today use a cell phone, a second business phone line creates a separation from personal and business, and allows you to have other business-only connectivity such as fax and Internet.

ย

Step 5: Learn the Risks and Benefits of the Legal Forms of Business Organization

Before you start a small or home business is the time to understand the various legal forms of business organization. Will you operate your business as aย sole proprietorship, aย limited liability company (LLC), anย S corporation, aย partnership, or a full blownย C corporation?

The easiest and cheapest option is the sole proprietorship, but to best protect your business, while still being affordable is theย limited liability company. Youโ€™ll want to research issues surrounding all forms of business structure now, because your decision will affect your startup costs, as well as your tax situation and your personal liability for the actions and debts of the business.ย Take advantage of the IRSโ€˜s website for free tax information on the various legal forms of business organization.

Finally, your decision on which legal form of business organization you will use will largely determine what steps you need to take in order to set up your business when youโ€™re ready to do so.

Step 6: Find Out the Legal Requirements to Run Your Home Business

Legal Contracts

While itโ€™s tempting to set up shop and start selling right away, most areas have rules about running a home business. Failure to comply with these rules can result in fines and being forced to close up shop. Here are some legal issues to consider:

  • Check your zoning laws before starting a small business.ย If you wonโ€™t have a sign, work with toxic materials, or see clients in your home, you can usually get a waiver. Also check your homeownersย associationโ€™s covenants and restrictions, as well as your leaseย agreement if you rent, for any restrictions on home business.ย
  • Contact your city or county regarding a business license.ย Most areas have a business license requirement. Usually, itโ€™s affordable.
  • Contact your stateโ€™s occupational regulatory agency to see if your business is regulated and requires additional permits or licenses.ย For example, most businesses involving grooming (people or pets), financial help, child care and food are regulated by the state and you may need to get a permit.ย
  • Get a sales tax license from your stateโ€™s taxation or comptrollerโ€™s office if you sell tangible goods.ย This allows youย o collect and pay sales tax.
  • Get aย business bank account.ย The IRS doesnโ€™t like to see your personal and business funds mixed together.ย
  • Consider getting an employer identification number.ย While not required in a sole proprietorship, it is necessary if you employ people. Itโ€™s free and the advantage is that you can use it, instead of your social security number on business-related paperwork.ย
  • Protect your intellectual property.ย โ€‹If youโ€™ve invented or created something, you can protect it with aย patent, trademark or copyright.

Step 7: Review Your Home Business Insurance Needs

insurance

When you go into business, youโ€™ll potentially be exposing yourself, your home and your family to a variety of risks. You need to think about how youโ€™ll manage those risks and find out if you need smallย business insuranceย to help handle them before itโ€™s too late.

Consider these insurance needs:

  • Health insurance:ย There are many options for health care for self-employed persons. The key is to find the option that works best for you and your family.
  • Additional home coverage for business:ย Your regular homeowners insurance may not cover costs related to a home business. Check your policy and/or contact your insurer for information on making sure you can recover losses from a business if your home burns down, is flooded or robbed.
  • Liability insurance:ย If someone falls in your office or is otherwise โ€œhurtโ€ by your business, are you covered? Also, learn if you should getย errors and omissions coverage.
  • Auto insurance:ย If you use your car in business, you may need additional coverage.ย

Remember, your homeownersโ€™ and auto insurance policies werenโ€™t designed to cover your home business.ย Small business insurance can be a major expense, but less expensive than a lawsuit or recovering from a loss of due to a fire or otherย catastrophicย event.ย

Record any small business insurance cost estimates for this step โ€” youโ€™ll need them to determine your startup and operating costs.

Step 8: Determine Your Startup Costs and Funding Sources

money

While you can start a home business on budget, itโ€™s not likely youโ€™ll build a profitable one without incurring some expense. Calculate your startup costs โ€” the amount of money you need to open up shop. Itโ€™s okay if you donโ€™t know specific costs, but you want to get as close as possible, perhaps even over-estimate expenses. Here are common start-up expenses:

  • Professional services such as a lawyer or an accountant.
  • Office furniture or equipment.
  • Supplies and materials required for your product or service.
  • Inventory.
  • Business licenses and other fees (i.e. franchise fees, permits, etc).
  • Construction costs if you need to build or alter a room to create a home office.
  • Website fees; domain name, hosting, website design (if you hire a professional designer).
  • Business cards and other printed marketing materials.
  • Other items specific to your business idea.Unique business ideas

Once you have your list, look for ways you might be able to cut costs, andย fund your business without going in debt. For example, can you make due with the computer and printer you currently have. Can you barter for website design?Unique business ideas

You need to also consider:

  • How much will you need to pay your bills until the money starts coming in from your home business?
  • Will you be keeping your full-time job or is there another breadwinner in the family that can help you until you develop an income stream?Unique business ideas

As you move closer to starting your business, keep a tally of expenses you didnโ€™t anticipate and add them to your list.

Finally, since it takes money to make money, look for funding sources for your business that ideally wonโ€™t put you in debt.ย

  • Where will the initial investment come from? Savings? Selling assets?ย
  • Will you need a silent partner to help provide working capital, especially until you reach your break even point and being making a profit?
  • Are you willing to use your home equity to finance your business?
  • Is it possible you qualify for a loan? Check your city and stateโ€™s websites on business resources as many localities have programs to help small business. You can also check intoย SBA loansย from theย U.S. Small Business Administration?

Step 9: Calculate Ongoing Income and Expenes

cash flow accounting,Unique business ideas

Not only do you need money to start, but youโ€™ll need money to stay open. The goal is to earn enough to cover your operating expenses, and make a profit. Here are some additional money issues to consider:ย

  • What will your continuing outlays be for items like equipment, services, salaries and/or inventory?
  • How many products must you sell or hours of service do you need to provide to reach theย break even pointย (your income is equal to your expenses)?
  • What is your goal profit and how do you earn it?Unique business ideas
  • Have you run the numbers to determine theย ideal pricingย for your product/service?
  • Look at ways you can continue toย run your business on a budget, allowing you earn more in profits.

Step 10: Gauge Your Familyโ€™s Support for Your Home Business

family.png, Unique business ideas

Your familyโ€™s support will be more important than you think, so donโ€™t leave this step undone.ย Unique business ideas

Running a home business isnโ€™t done in a vacuum. Members of your family may need to make sacrifices or lifestyle changes in order to accommodate your business. As a result, they need to know what youโ€™re up to and how it might affect them. If you have a spouse or significant other or children living with you, your home business will be a big part of their lives too.

Communication is key to helping them understand what youโ€™re doing. Explain to them your intention and goals. Allow them to be a part of the process, if theyโ€™re interested. Ask for their support as opposed to expecting or demanding it. If they have concerns, try to understand where theyโ€™re coming from. Respond to their questions, issues, or objections, discussing them openly and calmly.ย There is a lot you can do toย get your family members on board with your home businessย goal if theyโ€™re resistant.

Couples who plan to operate a business together need to have a good idea in advance if they can work together. Itโ€™s a good idea to discuss who will be responsible for specific tasks. If you canโ€™t agree on this now, thereโ€™s a very strong likelihood you wonโ€™t agree on it later.ย

Donโ€™t let yourย business damage your family relationships.ย A strained family situation is bound to show in your business activities, so strive to work with your family to develop a routine and systems to make your home business and home life a success.

Top Work from Home Jobs for People with Disabilities

Work from Home Jobs

For many people with disabilities, meeting the requirements of a traditional job can be nearly impossible. But just because commuting or working long hours at a time may be difficult, that doesnโ€™t mean the disabled canโ€™t be productive in the workplace.

People with disabilities have skills, talents, and experiences that make them ideal employees but may have physical limitations or aย chronic medical condition that make it difficult to perform their duties in a traditional work environment. The answer for many is to work from home. In fact,ย The American with Disabilities Actย says that telecommuting โ€” aย work from home jobย โ€” is a reasonable accommodation for people who are disabled.

Job Resources for People with Disabilities

Work from Home Jobs

National Telecommuting Institute (NTI)

For many years,ย telecommuting jobsย were scarce and limited mostly to the technically knowledgeable and writers. In 1995, theย National Telecommuting Institute (NTI), a non-profit organization, was formed โ€œto identify and develop work-at-home jobs for home-based Americans who are physically disabled.โ€

NTI offers three ways people with disabilities can get work-from-home jobs.ย

  1. The Staffing Connection provides linkage agreements to Federal contractors that enable these contractors to meet specific hiring guidelines to hire the disabled and helps place Americans with disabilities into these positions.
  2. Land a Jobย provides a database of over 500,000 jobs across the United States. To access the database, you need to register.
  3. NTI At Homeย offers jobs inย customer service, technical support,ย quality control, and other jobs.

Hiring organizations are in many public and private companies from theย AAA to the IRS. NTI is the prime contractor for the IRS and the Department of Veterans Affairs, and it acts as subcontractors for Medicare and Medicaid, the Department of Labor and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. It has also matched disabled home workers with private companies, including Ticket Master, Home Shopping Network, Alamo Rent A Car, and other well-recognized corporations.

NTI offers training to qualified job applicants, the fees for which are paid for by vocational rehab counseling agencies. To qualify, you must submit a written certification of your disability before you can be offered a job via NTI. Either a physician or a Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) office in your state must provide a letter verifying that you have a chronic medical condition or disability.ย

My Employment Optionsย is another resource to help people who receive Supplemental Security Income (SSI Non-Retirement) or Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) find work. It offers free job placement and other vocational services in 47 states and includes bothย telecommuting and on-site local community positionsย to people using the freeย Ticket to Workย Program run through the Social Security Administration.

Theย work-at-home jobs listed at My Employment Optionsย are wide-ranging, including bookkeeping, customer service, and technical support. Work from Home Jobs

Other Home Career Options for the Disabled

Thereโ€™s no doubt that NTI and My Employment Options provides a valuable service for the disabled. Fortunately, today, people who need work accommodations because of physical disability or chronic illness arenโ€™t limited to the services these organizations offer.ย Telecommuting, freelance and home businessย options have grown such that people with disabilities can find jobs or create their ownย flexible home-based careerย with relative ease. Here are a few other work options open to disabled Americans.

  1. Ask the current boss to work from home.ย Because telecommuting is considered a reasonable accommodation under the ADA, disabled workers can present their employers with aย work-at-home proposalย if their jobs can be done from home.
  2. Contact your stateโ€™s vocational rehabilitation agency for assistance.ย You can see aย list of state locationsย and contact info from theย Office of Disability Employment Policy, which is part of theย U.S. Department of Labor.
  3. Search for a home-based job in your field or fields youโ€™re qualified to work in.ย A great place to start is findingย telecommuting jobs on LinkedIn. While many of the main job search sites such as CareerBuilder.com and Indeed.com have home-based jobs listed, youโ€™ll need to have a good understanding of work-at-home job scamsย to help you identify the legit jobs. You can try a site likeย FlexJobs, which charges for access to its database, but offers thousands of screened jobs.
  4. Freelance your skills to many businesses.ย While in a job you work for one company, as aย freelancer, you can work for many. Because youโ€™re considered a contractor, you can be your own boss, picking and choosing the jobs you want to do and companies you want to work with. Similar to finding a job,ย LinkedInย can also be used as an online portfolio to find freelance work. Or you can use freelance sites such asย Freelancer.com andย Upworkย to find jobs.
  5. Start a home business.ย The advantages toย starting a home businessย are that your time and duties are completely flexible. You can focus on what youโ€™re best at and design a schedule that fits your needs. Youโ€™ll find a ton of ideas, tips, and resources right here. You can even follow ourย Start a Business inย Month Guideย to get you up and running as quickly as possible.ย

There was a time when disabled Americans had to deal with the frustration of wanting to be active and productive workers but were limited by the constraints of traditional jobs. Today, technological advances and shifts in thinking about work have created many opportunities for people with disabilities to telecommute or create their own home-based career.Work from Home Jobs

Maximizing Your Bottom Line: 7 Small Business Tax Savings Strategies

The QBI deduction has some other restrictions and limitations, so check with your tax preparer about your eligibility.ย

Fund a Retirement Plan

Setting up and funding aย retirement planย for yourself and/or your employees can save you money on taxes. Make sure itโ€™s a qualified plan so you can take advantage of those tax savings. It must be one thatโ€™s recognized by the IRS to allow deferment of taxes on earnings until the earnings are withdrawn. They include IRAs and defined contribution plans such as a 401(k) or 403(b).27 Tax Minimization Strategies

Many options are available depending on your business, your goals, and your needs. Consider talking with a financial professional to figure out which is best for you.

Take Tax Credits to Lower Your Business Income

Tax creditsย are the federal governmentโ€™s way of encouraging businesses and individuals to do thingsโ€”or not do thingsโ€”that affect the greater good. For example, you can take tax credits for hiring employees, going green, providing access to disabled employees and the public, and providing health coverage for employees. Most are part of the General Business Credit, which is quite extensive so itโ€™s quite possible that you qualify under some of its terms. Check with your accountant.3

7 Tax Minimization Strategies

Buy Equipment and Vehicles for Depreciation Deductions

Businesses can take tax write-offs on purchases of business equipment, machinery, vehicles, and sometimes even real estate. These write-offs can sometimes be taken in the first year you own and use the equipment. The two most common types of this accelerated depreciation are Section 179 deductions and bonus depreciation.ย

Section 179 deductionsย allow you to immediately deduct the costs of certain assetsย when you put the assets in service. The maximum deduction was increased to $1 million in 2018 under the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA). Equipment, machinery, and certain real estate purchases can qualify.4

Bonus depreciation is an extra benefit for buying assets.ย The TCJA also increased this tax break from 50% to 100% of cost for assets placed in service from September 27, 2017 through January 1, 2023.5

Talk to your tax preparer if youโ€™ve purchased any major assets to find out if you qualify.ย

Deduct the Cost of Gifts

You can deduct up to $25 per person of the cost of gifts given to customers and vendors. An exception exists for those that bear your business name, are distributed as a matter of course, and cost less than $4.6

Deducting theย costs of entertainmentย is a bit trickier if you show your appreciation by paying for a good time. These costs are no longer deductible unless the event is directly related to your business in some way.7

Time Your Business Income and Expenses

Timing your income involves moving it from one year to another.ย You first have to determine the year in which you expect to pay the most in taxes.

Review your current expenses before the end of each year and prepay some of those amounts if you want to reduce your income for the current year. You can also increase your expenses and decrease income by making expenditures such as stocking up on supplies.

Write Off Bad Debts to Reduce Income

The end of the year is also the time to review your customer accounts if your business operates on the accrual accounting method. First, find those customers who arenโ€™t likely to pay you.ย You can write off the amounts they owe as โ€œbad debtsโ€ and deduct these amounts from your business income to save on taxes.ย 7 Tax Minimization Strategies

Bad debts can also include loans made to clients, vendors, or employees who donโ€™t pay you back.8

Check With a Qualified Tax Advisor

Consult a tax professional before making any decisions that can affect your business tax return or spending money for the sole purpose of saving on taxes. Make sure you select someone who can help you all year, not just at tax time. Consider hiring an expert who can represent you before the IRS in case youโ€™re ever audited.

An enrolled agent might be your best bet.ย These professionals are designated by the IRS because theyโ€™ve passed a strenuous, three-part test, or because they actually worked for the IRS at some point.9

Note: These tips are not intended to be tax advice, but only to give you some tax-saving ideas to discuss with your tax professional. Every business is unique, and tax laws change frequently.ย 7 Tax Minimization Strategies

Small Business Growth 101: Financing Strategies to Expand Your Venture

successful small business , Running a successful small business requires careful planning. It also requires the right financing. For many small business owners this can present a challengeโ€”should they bootstrap the expenses or take out a small business loan? Studies show that a mix of both is often the answer and itโ€™s important to have a clear sense of growth potential first.

Here are a few expert tips to help you grow your business and access the funding you need to take it to the next level.

Focus On Strategic Planning

One of the core components of any successful business is a clear strategy. This includes establishing a framework for business decisions, as well as outlining your company values and your mission.

If youโ€™re just starting out, take some time to think through your vision for the business. Are you hoping to keep things relatively streamlined or are you looking to scale quickly? If youโ€™re already established, taking stock of your existing goals can help you determine whether youโ€™re on the right track for growth or if you may need to rethink your current strategy.ย

Here are a few things to consider as you move forward:

  • Are you looking to increase your product offerings?
  • Are you interested in targeting new markets or increasing your reach within your current market?
  • Do you have the right resources in place to scale effectively?
  • Will you need to expand your current team to keep up with your business needs?

Your answers to these questions will help you refine your strategy and create an action plan.ย

successful small business

Assess Your Short- and Long-Term Goals

Once you have your strategy in place, itโ€™s time to think about goal-setting. Focus on both near-term and long-term goals to ensure that youโ€™re setting yourself up for success and developing a sustainable vision for your company. We recommend setting goals for the next year as well as coming up with a five-year plan to grow your business.ย

Your goals should cover all areas of your business and take into account both marketing strategies and user acquisition. We recommend keeping the following things in mind:ย

  • How you will acquire customers as your business grows
  • How your messaging may change as you tap into new markets
  • The skills and resources youโ€™ll need to serve changing customer needs

Investing in your business should also be a key part of goal-setting, particularly if youโ€™re positioning yourself for significant growth. Having access to additional funds can help you create new products, develop marketing strategies, and hire the right people.ย

When outlining your goals, be sure to factor in associated expenses. This will allow you to forecast the cost of growing your business and help you determine how much additional capital youโ€™ll need. Demonstrating a clear growth strategy and business history can also make it easier to access the funding you need.ย

Access the Right Financing Options

While seeking out financing options can feel intimidating, getting the funding you need is often easier than you might think.ย Square small business loansย are a great option. Available to eligible business owners who process payments via Square, these loans can help you access anywhere from $300 to $250,000 (depending on the amount you qualify for).ย

To help you keep the focus on your business, Square also eliminates many of the headaches associated with the application process. Theyโ€™ll provide you withย a customized offerย based on the card sales you process through Square, and youโ€™ll be able to choose a loan size (up to the maximum offer amount).ย Tailored to your specific needs, the money can be used for anything related to your business and the offer will reflect the amount Square believes will help you take your business to the next level.ย

Since Square loans are based on a flat rate rather than ongoing interest, youโ€™ll also have full transparency regarding your loan amount and youโ€™ll be able toย pay it back automaticallyย through your daily card sales.ย Youโ€™ll generally know if youโ€™re approved the same day and youโ€™ll be able to access the funds in as little as one business day.

Business growth comes with its fair share of challenges, but careful planning can help you minimize pain points. With a clear strategy and a small business loan tailored to your needs, you can invest in new initiatives and help your company move forward.

When Is Amazon Prime Day 2022?ย

Amazon Prime Day starts onย Tuesday, July 12, and runs for 48 hours, ending at the end of the day on Wednesday, July 13, 2022. Sales start at 12 a.m. PDT on July 12, and end at 11:59 p.m. PDT on July 13. In 2021, Amazon Prime Day was in June.

Though Amazon Prime Day isnโ€™t till July this year, early deals and new member-only offerings started June 21.1

What Is Amazon Prime Day?

Amazonโ€™s first Prime Day was held on July 15, 2015. Announced via press release just a few days prior, the retail giant envisioned the event as an observance of its 20th anniversary and held the promise of more deals thanย Black Friday.ย

Initially launched as a one-day shopping extravaganza, Amazon Prime Day has since expandedโ€”no doubt in response to incredible sales numbers and high demand. For the last three years (2019-2021), the event ran for 48 hours, and in 2018, Prime Day deals ran for an impressive 36 hours.ย

Amazon Prime Day has turned into a retail holiday of sorts, and it is โ€œobservedโ€ or โ€œcelebratedโ€™ in 18 countries around the world, raking in billions of dollars in sales.ย

One thing to keep in mind is that you have to be a Prime member to participate, but you can sign up for aย free 30-day Prime member trialย as an alternative.ย

When Do Prime Day Deals Start?

Amazon Prime Day may be in July, but deals and member-only offerings started on June 21 this year. From Echos and Kindles to Fire TVs, Amazon offered many deals on June 21, 2022.

But keep your ear to the ground through July 12: In Prime Days past, members have been able to take advantage of sales a few days prior to the eventโ€™s first big day.1

What Categories Are Best To Shop?

For Prime Day, Amazon slashes prices on items across myriad categories. You can always expect deep discounts on Amazon devices and the brandโ€™s key products and proprietary electronics, including Amazon Fire Sticks, Fire Cubes, and, of course, Kindles.

What Will Be On Sale During Prime Day?

For Prime Day 2022, Amazon said in a press release that you will be able to shop more deals from national brands and third-party sellers than in past years. And that includes sales on products from small and medium businesses. Amazon also said that for Prime Day 2022, you can get sales on top brands like Deโ€™Longhi, Dove, and SodaStream.

What About Shopping Locally?

From fashion and toys to electronics and home essentials, you can shop locally on Amazon Prime Day. In fact, when you spend $1 on eligible purchases from small businesses between June 21 and July 11, youโ€™ll receive a chance to win epic prizes, such as tickets to Super Bowl LVII.

โ€œWith the small businesses and national brands our members love and trust, weโ€™re excited to offer some of our best Prime Day deals yet to even more customers around the world,โ€ย Jamil Ghani, vice president of Amazon Prime, said in the 2022 press release. โ€œThis year, weโ€™re making it simple for members to find the best deals, from personalized deal recommendations to Alexa reminders. Itโ€™s never been easier for Prime members to shop, save, and make the most of Prime Day.โ€

And on the flip side, Amazonโ€™s โ€œSupport Smallโ€ program lets you choose products from local and small retailers. All you have to do is choose your region: Pacific, Rocky Mountains, Northeast, Southwest, Midwest, or Southeast.

Are There Other Stores That Have Prime Day?

As a result of Amazon Prime Dayโ€™s overwhelming success and not to be outdone, other retailers tend to announce their own blowouts that coincide with Prime Day. In the past,ย Target,ย Walmart,ย Best Buy, andย Kohlโ€™sย have tossed their hats in the ring.

In addition to large retailers running their own sales, Prime members will also find specific brands and digital suites on sale within Amazon. For example, in 2020, Amazon ran sales on several packages ofย Adobe Creative Cloud.
